The No Surprise Act

The No Surprises Act is a federal law that became effective on January 1, 2022, aimed at preventing unexpected medical bills. This legislation safeguards patients from receiving unexpectedly high bills when they receive care from an out-of-network provider or facility, particularly in emergency situations or when the choice of provider is limited.

At Pathways, we are committed to transparency regarding the cost of our services. We will always inform clients and their families of the expected costs upfront. Most of our services are offered on a cash-pay basis, and we do not accept insurance coverage. For neuropsychological assessments, however, we are in-network with certain insurance companies. In these cases, we will provide a good faith estimate of coverage before starting services. Please note that this estimate is not a guarantee of benefits. If insurance does not cover the services, you may receive a bill, but our staff will provide you with a cap on the potential charges.
